On June 11, 2019, the U.S. International Trade Commission unanimously voted that the U.S. quartz industry is materially injured by unfair imports of quartz surface products from China. As a result of the vote, the U.S. Department of Commerce will issue antidumping and countervailing duty orders on such imports. The antidumping duties will range from 266% to 337%, and the countervailing duties will range from 45% to 191%.

The antidumping and countervailing duty petitions were brought by Schagrin Associates on behalf of Cambria, a family-owned producer of natural stone surfaces located in Le Sueur, Minnesota.
